1.1.1. Thì hiện tại đơn

a. To be: am/ is/ are

(+) S + am/ is/ are …

Ex: She (be) …is…… a student.

(-) S + am/ is/ are + not…

(?) Am/ Is/ Are + S + …

b. Động từ thường

(+) S + V s/ es …

Ex: He (go) …goes … to school every day

(-) S + do/ does + not + verb– inf.

Ex: I do not go to school./ He does not go to school.

(?) Do/ Does + S + Verb (bare – inf ) …?.

Ex: Do you go to school?/ Does he go to school?

Trong câu thường có các trạng từ: always , usually , often , sometimes , never , every …

1.1.2. Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

(+) S + am/ is/ are + V – ing …

(-) S + am/ is/ are + not + V – ing …

(?) Am/ Is/ Are + S + V – ing …?.

Thường có các trạng từ ở cuối câu: Now, at present, at the moment, right now, at this time …và Look!, Listen!, Be careful!, Be quite!, …..ở đầu câu.

1.1.3. Thì tương lai đơn

(+) S + will/ shall + V (bare – inf) …

(-) S + won’t/ shan’t + V (bare – inf) …

(?) Will/ Shall + S + V (bare – inf)…?.

Yes, S + will/ shall. No, S + won’t/ shan’t.

Thường có các trạng từ: soon, tomorrow, tonight, next week / month / year … one day, …

1.2.1. So sánh hơn

- Short adjs: Adj.- er + than

- Long adjs: More + adj. + than

1.2.2. So sánh nhất

- Short adjs: The + adj + est …

- Long adjs: The most + adj…

+ What + a/ an + adj + sing. Noun!

Ex: This room is very dirty à What a dirty room!

+ What + adj + plural N! (danh từ số nhiều)

Ex: The pictures are very beautiful à What beautiful pictures!

+ What + adj + uncount N! (danh từ không đếm được)

- Bỏ "very, too, so, fairly, extremtly, quite" nếu có.

1.4.1. Hỏi và trả lời về khoảng cách

How far is it from...... to...?

=> It's ( about ) + khoảng cách.

1.4.2. Hỏi và trả lời về phương tiện

How + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

=> S + V +... + by + phương tiện/ (on foot)

1.4.3. Hỏi và trả lời về nơi chốn

Where + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

=> S + V +...+ nơi chốn.

1.4.4. Hỏi và trả lời về lý do

Why + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

=> S + V +... because + S + V + lý do.

1.4.5. Hỏi và trả lời về tính thường xuyên

How often + do/ does + S + V – inf...?

=> S + adv. + V.........

Trong câu thường có: Once, twice, three times a week,..., every ,...

1.4.6. Hỏi và trả lời về thời gian

* Hỏi giờ: What time is it ? = What 's the time ?.

• Giờ đúng: It's + giờ + o'lock.
• Giờ hơn: It's + giờ + phút/ It's + phút + past +giờ.
• Giờ kém: It's + giờ + phút/ It's + phút + to + giờ

* Hỏi giờ của các hành động: What time + do/ does + S + V – inf...?

=> S + V(s/es) + at + giờ.

1.4.7. Hỏi và trả lời về số lượng

How many + N s + do/ does + S + V– inf...?.

How many + N s + are there +............ -?

=> There is/ are + số đếm + N(s)

      S + V + số đếm + N(s)

1.4.8. Hỏi và trả lời về đồ vật, nghề nghìệp, môn học, trò chơi

What (subject/ class/ sport/...) + do/ does + S + V...?

=> S + V...

1.4.9. Hỏi và trả lời về giá cả

How much + do/ does + N(s) + cost ? = How much + is it ?/ How much are they ?

=> N(s) + cost(s) + số tiền = It is + giá tiền/ They are + giá tiền

1.4.10. Hỏi về thời gian

When + do/ does + S + V ( bare – inf )...?

S + V(s/es) +... (on + thứ/ in + tháng , năm)

- So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ đếm được: S1+ V(s/es) + more + Ns + than + S2

- So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S +V(s/es) + more + uncount.N+ than+S2

- So sánh ít hơn của danh từ đếm được:S + V(s/es) + fewer + N s + than + S2

- So sánh ít hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S + V(s/es) + less + N + than + S2.

­Ex: He works 72 hours a week. His wife works 56 hours a week.

He works more hours than his wife.

His wife works fewer hours than he.

- Các cụm từ: on the left/ right, in the middle, different from, interested in, at the back of, on the shelves, on the racks, be good at, learn about

- Trạng từ thường xuyên: always, usually, often, sometimes never... đứng trước động từ thương, đứng sau động từ tobe

- Would you like + to – inf/ Noun...?

- Is there a/ an...? Are there any...?

- Prepositions: under, near, next to, behind, between, opposite, in front of...

- What about/ How about + V – ing...? = Why don't we +V-inf...?

- Let's + V–inf ? = Shall we + V– inf....?

- I'd like + to – inf = I want + to – inf...

- Enjoy + V- ing = Like + V- ing/ to- inf...

- Should + V– inf. = Ought to + V– inf

- Tính từ ghép (Coumpound adjectives):

Number + sing. N = Compound adjective.

Ex: A summer vacation lasts 3 months -> A 3 – month summer vacation.

2.1. Đọc đoạn văn và chọn T (đúng) hoặc F (sai)

Many students listen to music while they are studying, and say that it helps them learn. Many parents and teachers say that music is just distracting, and that students are better studying in silence. Who is right?

In a study, some scientists asked three groups of students to listen to a piece of music by Mozart or a relaxation tape for ten minutes, or just sit in silence for ten minutes. The students then did a ‘spatial reasoning’ test (a test about remembering shapes and imagining looking at objects from different directions), and the ones who had listened to the Mozart did better in the test.

Taking part in musical activities and learning to play an instrument can improve verbal memory (the ability to remember words). The longer the training lasts, the better the improvement in the memory. So, there’s no excuse to give up the piano lessons!
