1. Các thì trong Tiếng Anh

1.1. The simple present tense: (Thì hiện tại đơn)

a. To be: am/ is/ are:

(+) S + am/ is/ are … 
Ex: She (be) …is…… a student.

(-) S + am/ is/ are + not…

(?) Am/ Is/ Are + S + …

b. Ordinary Verbs

(+) S + V s/ es …

 (-) S + do/ does + not + verb– inf.

 (?) Do/ Does + S + Verb (bare – inf ) …?.

Ex: Do you go to school?

* Trong câu thường có các trạng từ: always , usually , often , sometimes , never , every …

1.2. The present progressive tense (Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn)

(+) S + am/ is/ are + V – ing …

(-) S + am/ is/ are + not + V – ing …

(?) Am/ Is/ Are + S + V – ing …?

Ex: I am listening to music now.

* Trong câu thường có các trạng từ ở cuối câu: Now, at present, at the moment, right now, at this time …và Look!, Listen!, Be careful!, Be quite!, …..ở đầu câu.

1.3. The simple future tense (Thì tương lai đơn)

(+) S + will/ shall + V (bare – inf) …

(-) S + won’t/ shan’t + V (bare – inf) …

(?) Will/ Shall + S + V (bare – inf)…?

Yes, S + will/ shall. No, S + won’t/ shan’t.

Ex: I will visit Hue next month.

* Trong câu thường có các trạng từ: soon, tomorrow, tonight, next week / month / year … one day, …

2. Comparison of adjectives (So sánh của tính từ)

2.1. Comparative: (So sánh hơn)

- Short adjs: Adj.- er + than

- Long adjs: More + adj. + than

2.2. Superlatives: (So sánh nhất )

- Short adjs: The + adj + est …

- Long adjs: The most + adj…

3. Exclamatory sentence (Câu cảm thán)

+ What + a/ an + adj + N (số ít)!

Ex: What a dirty room!

+ What + adj + N (số nhiều)!

Ex: What beautiful pictures!

+ What + adj + N (không đếm được)!

Ex: What sour milk!

- Bỏ "very, too, so, fairly, extremely, quite" nếu có.

4. Hỏi và trả lời về khoảng cách:

Q: How far is it from...... to...?

A: It's (about) + khoảng cách.

5. Hỏi và trả lời về phương tiện:

How + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

S + V +... + by + phương tiện/ (on foot)

6. Hỏi và trả lời về nơi chốn:

Where + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

S + V +...+ nơi chốn.

7. Hỏi và trả lời về lý do:

Why + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

S + V +... because + S + V + lý do.

8. Hỏi và trả lời về tính thường xuyên:

How often + do/ does + S + V – inf...?

S + adv. + V.........

* Trong câu thường có: Once, twice, three times a week,..., every ,...

9. Hỏi và trả lời về thời gian:

* Hỏi giờ: What time is it ? = What 's the time ?

• Giờ đúng: It's + giờ + o'lock.
• Giờ hơn: It's + giờ + phút/ It's + phút + past +giờ.
• Giờ kém: It's + giờ + phút/ It's + phút + to + giờ

* Hỏi giờ của các hành động: What time + do/ does + S + V – inf...?

S + V(s/es) + at + giờ.

10. Hỏi và trả lời về số lượng:

Q1: How many + N (số nhiều) + do/ does + S + V– inf...?.

Q2: How many + N (số nhiều) + are there +............ -?

A: There is/ are + số đếm + N(s)

S + V + số đếm + N(s)

11. Hỏi và trả lời về đồ vật, nghề nghiệp, môn học, trò chơi:

What (subject/ class/ sport/...) + do/ does + S + V...?

S + V...

12. Hỏi và trả lời về giá cả:

How much + do/ does + N(s) + cost? = How much + is it?/ How much are they ?

N(s) + cost(s) + số tiền = It is + giá tiền/ They are + giá tiền

13. Hỏi về thời gian:

When + do/ does + S + V (bare – inf)...?

S + V(s/es) +... (on + thứ/ in + tháng, năm)

14. Trạng từ thường xuyên:

always, usually, often, sometimes never... đứng trước động từ thường, đứng sau động từ tobe

15. Would you like + to – inf/ Noun...?

16. Is there a/ an...? Are there any...?

17. Prepositions: under, near, next to, behind, between, opposite, in front of...

18. What about/ How about + V – ing...? = Why don't we +V-inf...?

19. Let's + V–inf ? = Shall we + V– inf....?

20. I'd like + to – inf = I want + to – inf...

21. Enjoy + V- ing = Like + V- ing/ to- inf...

22. Should + V– inf. = Ought to + V– inf

23. Tính từ ghép (Coumpound adjectives):

Number - sing. N = Compound adjective.

Ex: A 3 - month summer vacation.

24. Comparison of Nouns (So sánh của danh từ)

- So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ đếm được: S1+ V(s/es) + more + Ns + than + S2

Ex: He works more hours than his wife.

- So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S +V(s/es) + more + uncount.N+ than+S2

Ex: Lan drinks more tea than Ba.

- So sánh ít hơn của danh từ đếm được: S + V(s/es) + fewer + N s + than + S2

Ex: His wife works fewer hours than he.

- So sánh ít hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S + V(s/es) + less + N + than + S2.

Ex: I drink less tea than Lan.

At four in the afternoon, they come back home. Mr. Hai feeds the animals again. Then he cleans the buffalo shed and the chicken coop. His work usually finishes at six.
