PHƯƠNG PHÁP CHIA ĐỘNG TỪ ĐẦU CÂU

1.1. V-ing đứng đầu câu

a) Cụm hiện tại phân từ:

Seeing the dog, I ran away. (Thấy con chó, tôi bỏ chạy)

Rút gọn từ: When I saw the dog, I ran away.

- Cách nhận dạng:

Chỉ là một cụm động từ mang nghĩa chủ động, chủ từ hiểu ngầm của nó cũng chính là chủ từ của mệnh đề đi sau - Cuối cụm luôn có dấu phẩy.

b) Ving làm chủ từ:

Studying English is difficult (Việc học tiếng Anh thì khó)

Cụm này có chức năng làm chủ từ cho động từ phía sau.

Studying English là chủ từ của is

- Cách nhận dạng:

Sau cụm từ luôn có động từ chia thì.

1.2. To-inf đứng đầu câu

a) to-inf làm chủ từ:

Tương tự như Ving làm chủ từ.

Ví dụ: To study English is difficult.

- Cách nhận dạng:

Giống như cụm Ving làm chủ từ (Hai cấu trúc này có thể thay thế nhau.)

b) Mang nghĩa"để" = in order to/ so as to.

Ví dụ: To pass the exam, he worked very hard.

Rút gọn từ: He worked very hard so that/ in order that he could pass the exam.

1.3. P.P/ V3 đứng đầu câu

Mang nghĩa bị động.

Ví dụ: Built in 1900, the house is now still in good condition.

(Được xây vào năm 1900, căn nhà giờ đây vẫn còn tốt)

Rút gọn từ: Although the house was built 1900, it is now still in good condition.

- Cách nhận dạng:

Chỉ là một cụm động từ mang nghĩa bị động, chủ từ hiểu ngầm của nó cũng chính là chủ từ của mệnh đề đi sau - Cuối cụm luôn có dấu phẩy.

1.4. Bare-inf đứng đầu câu

Duy nhất một trường hợp là câu mệnh lệnh.

Raise your hands! (Giơ tay lên!)

- Cách nhận dạng:

Phía sau toàn bộ câu không có động từ chia thì, thường có dấu chấm cảm ở cuối.

Chia các động từ trong ngặc dưới đây thành dạng đúng. Sau đó viết lại câu đầy đủ trước khi rút gọn (nếu được).

Ví vụ: (See) ................. the dog, I ran away.

Seeing the dog, I ran away.

Rút gọn từ: When I saw the dog, I ran away.
