1, Firstly, playing sports can give you a healthy life and a fit body. You will be more active and healthier by playing sports. To illustrate, you can have a lower chance of getting a serious illness such as a heart attack or high blood pressure.
In other words, it increases your resistance to illness. In leisure time, you can play sports with your friends or your relatives, this not only helps you but also motivates everyone around you to take part in sports and have good health.
Furthermore, there are some sports which you can play easily such as table tennis, tennis or football and after that, you feel completely relaxed or even free from your stress.
Moreover, you also need to allow and encourage children to play sports, especially some outside activities such as football, basketball or volleyball to decrease the time that your children spend sitting in front of computers or watching television.
These sports can help them have endurance, quickness and even teach them how to improve team spirit and work in groups. These sports also teach them how to communicate with their teammates, and show them how active and creative they are.

The quest for ‘physical Fitness‘ is a recent phenomenon. Consequently, of late there has been a spurt in the growth of fitness parlours, yoga centres and gyms all over the country. People in general are gradually realising the importance of keeping oneself ‘fit and smart’. The concept of sound heath and longevity through physical exercises is catching up not only among the affluent but also among the ordinary masses.
There are a variety of physical exercises. The most popular types are yoga, jogging, running, walking, riding, swimming, playing different games, etc. Doing aerobics or special exercise with the help of sophisticated instruments are found to be popular in the urban centres. Anybody can —do exercises. All that is required is free movements of the various parts of the body in a systematic manner, and on a regular basis. The most important aspect which should be kept in mind while doing physical exercise is that, they must be done in the open air, such as, open fields, public parks, roof-tops, etc., where fresh air is in abundance.
At times it helps to consult an expert. They should be done preferably early in the morning and in an empty stomach. It is also important to see that exercises affect every part of the body and should last for some time. What is important is not how vigorously one does exercise but, how regularly and systematically it is done.
The foremost benefit derived from physical exercises is that it helps to acquire good health. Today, large sections of the population, particularly people in the urban centres, are spending thousands of rupees to acquire sound health.
The amount of money spent on diet, medicine and improving physical appearance is phenomenal. But, if all of them could do a bit of physical exercise regularly their health would have been in a much better condition. Exercises in the open air remove fatigue, vitalise lungs, refresh the body, replenish the lost energy, improve blood circulation and helps in digestion. It dispels dullness and laziness.
Another significant merit of physical exercise is that it makes our body look smart, and feel flexible. The unnecessary fat stored in our body is dispelled and the body becomes symmetrical and proportional. Today, good physical appearance is of vital importance for success in life as well as career. Physical exercise makes our minds sharp, thinking clear and our over-all performance better. Regular physical exercises can make us vibrant and enthusiastic about life and living.
In a civilization where most people’s life is marred by tension, worry, ill health, occupational hazards, environmental pollution, etc., physical exercise can act as a balm. It can soothe our strained minds, dispel dullness, provide sound health and make our body fit and smart. Physical exercise is never a waste of time but rather precious moments well spent.
