a. Cấu trúc

Khẳng định: S has/have + been + V_ing + O

Phủ định: S + Hasn't/ Haven't + been+ V-ing + O

Nghi vấn: Has/HAve+ S+ been + V-ing + O?

* Từ nhận biết: all day, all week, since, for, for a long time, almost every day this week, recently,

lately, in the past week, in recent years, up until now, and so far.

b. Cách dùng:

- Thì hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn nhấn mạnh khoảng thời gian của 1 hành động đã xảy ra trong quá khứ và tiếp tục tới hiện tại (có thể tới tương lai)

Ex: She has been waiting for you all day.

- Thì hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn dùng để nói về sự việc đã kết thúc nhưng vẫn còn thấy ảnh hưởng hay dấu vết về nó.

Ex: You look tired. Have you been sleeping properly?

- Thì này cũng có thể được sử dụng để chỉ sự việc đã xảy ra nhiều lần trong quá khứ và vẫn còn tiếp tục ở hiện tại.

Ex: The university has been sending students here for over twenty years to do work experience.
